For our Friends 55 and over, we meet for fellowship and activities. Summer trips are planned and winter get-togethers are held at the church.

Our Primetimers would like to develop into one of service as well through prayer, teaching, visitation, volunteering, and more!

All Friends 55+ Welcome!

Luncheons are being planned for the 1st Wednesday of each month. We will meet at Mehlmann's Cafeteria in St. Clairsville. We will eat at noon. If you need a ride, please call Betty or the church office. Our next luncheon will be on Wednesday, October 1st. No Luncheon in September. Any ??, call Betty Benes 740-758-5018.



Pontoon & Picnic-rescheduled

All Primetimers 55+ Welcome!

PRIMETIMERS Annual Picnic will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 3rd (rescheduled) at Piedmont Lake. This will be in lieu of our September luncheon at Mehlman's. Come and enjoy the pontoon boat ride on Piedmont Lake followed by a picnic luncheon at the Benes'. Everyone bring a covered dish to share. Sloppy joe's, hot dogs, drinks and tableware will be provided. Also, bus transportation will be available. The bus will leave the church parking lot at 10:00 a.m. If you are not a Boater, just come for the picnic. Looking forward to seeing you!

Hartville Kitchen

Primetimers: Don't miss the fabulous gospel music of the Signature Sound (The Gaither's) performance at the Hartville Kitchen on Friday, November 28, 2008. The Matinee will begin at 12 noon. Cost is $55 per person that includes Dinner, Show and Bus transportation. I know you will also enjoy the Home-Style Cooking from the Hartville Kitchen and the Hartville Collectibles Gift Shop and Art Gallery featuring Thomas Kinkade's creations. Tickets are limited. Friends Heritage

The name "friends" comes from Jesus' words in John 15:12-15: "You are my friends if you do whatever I command."

The name Quaker, originally an insult, became a symbol of integrity as Quakers were known for: Support for religious and political freedom (including women ministers), opposition to slavery honesty in business, humane treatment of criminals & compassion for the mentally ill and opposition to war, but aid to war victims and others in distress.
