We are reading "90 Minutes in Heaven" by Don Piper(description below). You are responsible for getting your own copy and then read the book and we will get together and discuss the book at Sippers on Sept. 20th.

After a devastating car accident, Baptist minister Don Piper is pronounced dead at the scene. During the next 90 minutes, he remembers hearing beautiful music, meeting those who had a spiritual impact in his life, and experiences deep peace--until suddenly he is brought back to "real life" through another minister's prayer in this amazing true story.

Friends Heritage

The name "friends" comes from Jesus' words in John 15:12-15: "You are my friends if you do whatever I command."

The name Quaker, originally an insult, became a symbol of integrity as Quakers were known for: Support for religious and political freedom (including women ministers), opposition to slavery honesty in business, humane treatment of criminals & compassion for the mentally ill and opposition to war, but aid to war victims and others in distress.
